Hot Ham and Bacon Cheese Dip
Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 1 hour Serves 8
3/4 cup boneless ham chopped
1/2 pound bacon, diced and cooked crisp
1 1/2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups sour cream
2 limes, juiced
2 tbsp chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped
1/3 cup chopped green onions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together cheddar, cream cheese, sour cream and lime juice. Fold in chipotle peppers, green onions, ham and bacon. Pour mixture into an oven-proof baking dish, cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes to 1 hour until thoroughly heated through.
Serving Suggestions: Serve with crusty bread for dipping. This recipe is also great to reheat on the grill (not over direct flame).
